The “Seoul” of Baseball
For those who have seen baseball in Japan, we promise you that this is NOT the same thing! The Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) offers a truly unique live experience. Korean crowds are more lively, younger, and surprisingly more female than those in Japan and other professional leagues worldwide.
Plus, Korean players play with emotion and flare (bat flips galore!), feeding off their passionate fans. And they have talent too, with one of the world’s best national teams and a steady stream of MLB-caliber players.
Further, we have access to much better tickets on our Korea tours than on our Japan tours. This includes VIP-style access to the field during BP or after the game to high-five the players, front-row seats, and seats in the picnic area, where our hosts make amazing homemade Korean BBQ for us while we watch the game!
And the country and cities themselves are also worth a visit. South Korea is similar to Japan, but edgier. The food is spicier, the people are more expressive, and the urban settings, while still very safe, show a bit more character than Japan.
We are thrilled to again partner with South Korea’s premier baseball tour provider, Diego Baseball, to offer our community a once-in-a-lifetime KBO tour. We divided this tour into two segments, offering you three options:
- The Full Tour: Attend nine KBO games at all nine KBO ballparks and stay in five of South Korea’s best cities.
- Segment 1: See five KBO games in ballparks across Incheon, Gwangju, Daegu, Changwon, & Busan.
- Segment 2: In Daejeon & Seoul, attend four KBO games in four ballparks.
This tour can be done as a stand-alone tour or in conjunction with the following segments of our annual Japan baseball tour: NPB Full Tour, Tokyo Tour, or NPB Tour Segment 2. See below for further instructions on how to book Japan and Korea in conjunction.
This tour may be very physically demanding for some guests. Due to our use of public transportation and the “walkability” of South Korea cities and tourist sites, many guests average about 10,000 steps per day on their step trackers. We will change hotels several times via long and/or early-morning train or bus rides. All guests must be able to carry/roll their own luggage during train transfers for about 1/3 mile (including up and down flights of stairs), and also lift their bags to the overhead space on trains. If you expect to have any difficulties, we recommend that you consider the Tokyo NPB Tour.
