The city of Haalem was a wonderful site for a fun international baseball tournament. The hotel, restaurants and transportation provided by JapanBall were all well done, and the small size of the tour made it easy to get to know all of the tour participants and make new friendships. The schedule was great, allowing time for tourism, as well as baseball. We had a chance to attend 10 baseball games, but this still left us enough time to see all the sites in Haarlem - a canal boat tour, the Frans Hals Museums, the Teylors Museum, the Great Cathedral and its historic organ played by Mozart and Hayden, St. Elizabeth's (the city history museum) - and still allow for a side trip to the seaside town of Zandvoort, to walk on the fine sand beach and have a fish and chips lunch. A few group meals, including two at the ballpark, were nicely done, which left a number of days to eat at dining places around the city of our choosing (including a great meal at the Michelin star Ratatouile Food & Wine restaurant. Can't wait to do it again!
